Privacy Policy

Retail View Analytics ("the App") is a business analytics application published by Retail View IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us"). The App is provided to employees and authorised users of businesses that subscribe to our service. This policy explains what the App collects, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

• Account credentials. When you sign in, your username and password are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our servers to authenticate you. We do not store your password on your device.
• Session information. After sign-in, an authentication token, your username, and basic profile details are stored locally on your device so you stay signed in. This data is removed when you sign out.
• Device notification token. If you allow notifications, a push token issued by Apple Push Notification service is registered with our servers so we can deliver alerts relevant to your account. It is deleted from our servers when you sign out.
• Business data. The App displays sales, inventory, customer, and performance data belonging to the organisation whose account you use. This data originates from your organisation's own records held in our service. It is shown to you according to the permissions your organisation grants you.

Camera

The App requests camera access only to scan product barcodes when you use item or stock search. Barcode images are processed on your device and are not recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can decline camera access and continue using every other part of the App.

What we do not do

• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not collect advertising identifiers, and the App contains no advertising.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• We do not use third-party analytics or behavioural profiling in the App.

Third-party services

The App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging solely to deliver push notifications. Firebase receives the device token needed to route a notification to your device. Google's handling of that data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation. Firebase Analytics and Google advertising services are not enabled in the App.

How data is protected and retained

All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Session data held on your device is stored in the operating system's protected application storage and is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the App. Business records are retained for as long as your organisation maintains its subscription, in line with the agreement between us and your organisation.

Your account and your rights

Accounts are created and administered by your organisation, not from within the App. To access, correct, or delete your account or the personal information associated with it, contact your organisation's administrator or write to us at the address below. We will act on verified requests in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Children

The App is a workplace tool intended for business use. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to subscribing organisations.
